License to use
The free extension may be used for personal, educational, and commercial tutoring. Code is provided under the MIT License. A valid Plus purchase unlocks Tutor Lens for the buyer’s own browsers; it is not a team-seat license for resale.
Your content and responsibility
You retain ownership of replay content. You are responsible for permission to include code, output, names, and other material, and for reviewing secret masking before sharing. Do not use the tool to capture another person’s activity without their knowledge.
Purchases and refunds
Plus costs $19 USD as a one-time purchase. Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record and handles checkout, taxes, receipts, and refunds. A refunded, expired, revoked, or wrong-product license will no longer unlock Plus. Core capture, masking, playback, import, and export remain free.
No grading or monitoring
The product is not an automatic grader, proctoring system, backup service, remote-control tool, or complete security scanner. Tutors must apply their own judgment.
Availability and warranty
The software is provided “as is,” without warranties to the extent permitted by law. Local browser data can be lost through uninstallation, browser reset, device failure, or quota limits; export important sessions.
Acceptable use
Do not use the product to violate law, intellectual-property rights, privacy, or computer-access rules. Do not attempt to abuse the billing verification service.
Changes
Material changes will update the effective date on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
