Code Lesson ReplayBack to home

Effective August 28, 2026

Privacy without fine print.

Code Lesson Replay is designed so lesson data does not need to leave your device.

What the extension stores

The extension stores the replay you explicitly create—its title, optional student name and goal, chosen commands and outputs, named file snapshots, hypotheses, notes, and timestamps—in your browser’s extension storage. It also stores a license token and a cached verification verdict if you choose Plus.

What it does not collect

It does not record arbitrary keystrokes, browse page contents, capture your screen, camera or microphone, inspect files you did not paste, or run analytics. We do not receive your replay bundle unless you deliberately send it to us outside the product.

Secret masking

Known credential patterns and any extra one-step words you provide are replaced before a step is saved. Automated masking reduces risk but cannot recognize every secret. Review a bundle before sharing it. Extra mask words are discarded after the step is processed.

Exports and deletion

Exports are JSON files saved wherever your browser downloads files. They are outside extension storage and remain until you delete them. Start a new replay to clear the current local session; uninstalling the extension clears its browser-managed storage.

Billing

If you purchase Plus, the checkout and license verification request go to Sociobot at api.sociobot.in (Dodo-backed merchant of record). The extension sends only the license token during verification. Payment data is handled by the merchant of record, not this extension.

Your choices

Every replay step is opt-in. You can exclude a command entirely, inspect exported JSON, keep using the free features without a license, and delete local data at any time.
